Starting Palumbi Diet tomorrow

I'd say it's probably pretty accurate. With Palumbo's diet, or any real low carb diet for that matter, you tend to lose a LOT of water at first. The weight loss will taper off after a couple weeks and you'll most likely start losing the typical 1-3lbs per week. The initial few weeks weight loss can be quite shocking, though! lol

Bigquads is exactly rt. about the water Weight. Your 9lbs is pretty normal. This week will probably be 2lbs-3lbs.

ok that is what I figured. I knew that there was no way I lost 9lbs of fat in a week. The first week was hell but through it. still really tired in the mornings. The only thing that I have going on right now is that I constantly sweat. My wife is freezing since I have the ac down and I still sweat. She will touch me and think that I am a furnace.

well i got my dymatize protein yesterday. made eating today a lot easier. will weigh in on sunday morning. same day every week.

well besides sweating my butt off at work. walk with the wife. got a cross trainer at home. and a push sled. (push sled for cardio and legs). I dont go fast but try and keep my pulse around 120 for 45-1hour. i hate cardio i feel like a hamster on a wheel in the gym

my goal for these 8 weeks is to hit the 220lbs range and maintain muscle. i know that I am going to have a hard time on the 1st week of july. moving to another house. but at this one i will be getting some training goodies.

That's a solid 7 day loss. Good job. Figure if you can average that for 10 weeks it's 25lbs!! Thx for the update

I dont know if this happened to anyone who did this diet. I am still extremely irritable. I know that I was bad the first week but I thought it would go away. Some days are better then other but I can see myself getting angry faster and have to cool down even over the most stupid thing.

also mb97 where do you buy your turkey breast or ground turkey in bulk. I am looking to do what you do and make 5lb in taco meat. If its breasts that is ok because I can grind it up. also what recipe do you use or have.

well i had to stop the diet. i was 14lbs lighter when I stopped. My wife asked me to stop since my attitude changed alotand not to mention that I would fall asleep at 7:30-8pm when I was putting our youngest to sleep. my wife knows what I do and we had a deal that if my attitude changed no matter what i did that i would stop whatever it was that changed my attitude. I could see my attitude change as well but I didnt think it was as bad as I thought. So I stopped. I will just count calories and keep my intake of carbs to no more then 150-200per day. with a total calories between 2500-3000 a day. for those who can do it go for it because you will lose weight. just not for me. thanks for the input for those who contributed to this thread. starting weight 259 ending 244

I stopped too after 6 weeks. Its a great diet for leaning out but at the price of feeling stupid its not for me. I felt really stupid and was not making much money in my business, or less of it anyway. I need carbs to think clearly, if I have a little fat on me I simply do not care.
