Rack Pulls...

Anyone do these? I do them one week and the next deads. I alternate mainly because I drag the bar up my shins on deads and if I did them every week then I'd just be tearing open scabs all the time. Today I did 545 for 5 reps on my last set. I was going to go up to 585 or 635, but decided to stop and get more out of the rest of my workout as I did these first.
 
That's some good weight Bro.. How much do you weight... I never did them tell I meet Chris250.. And he got me hooked on them.. I do about ever week ... On a good day 500 for about 12 reps and the most I tried was 600 for 4 ... One of my fav workouts !!!!!
 
I will admit as I am humble enough, I do not know how to do these properly and seen some very poor habits with others. Till I know someone that can do these and impress me enough. I won't touch them till then!

I done the youtube search a 100 x over, and seen guys killing themselves.
 
love rack pulls i do the same thing and alternate everyother week with deads.....i feel it more in my lats with the rack pulls

The only thing I hate about doing rack pulls is that it kills my grip strength for everything else that day as my hands are killing me afterwards. I never use wraps unless I'm training forearms because then I just can't hold anything. So I use chalk when I deadlift and do rack pulls and that's it. So at the end of the session I was doing dumbbell curls and literally had to cut them early as I could not comfortably hold the dumbbell without a throbbing pain in my fingers where they meet the hand.

If you have a clip that shows how to do these correct, with the right height set and all, then share if you can. It dont have to be some clip of a random fat dude that is a perminite bulker:chicken::bber: kinda guy maxing out, just something that you know and can recognize as correct and legit!:bench:
 
And Eat'n, I'll get you a video once I check some out and see what's the best
Please do, I been thinking all day about adding these and some other movements to my routine. I drifted off in thought many times today thinking of these would even help my lagging lats!

How long of a brake do you take between reps?

I just do it, pause slightly at the top, put the weight down, once it settles, do it again. Some will bounce it off the pins to get momentum, I'll do this on ocassion, but not always, just depends on what music is playing on my ipod, how it feels, how intense I'm getting
