Drinking chocolate milk...

My old training partner from like 5 years ago came in the gym on Saturday while I was training and I hadn't seen him in at least 2-3 years. He walks in with a gallon of water and a half gallon of chocolate milk. Back when we trained together in 06 he was 275 and a powerlifter, now he's into strongman stuff as he was never hitting the numbers he should in powerlifting. I don't know what his weight is now, but I'd say he's pretty close to what he was then, but with a different body build now. Anyway, he swears that he feels better when he drinks chocolate milk while he trains now. This is the first time I've ever seen someone drink it while training. Has anyone ever heard of this or better yet seen someone else do it?
 
Nope never seen it, He would feel the same if he consumed anything else with that much sugar
 
That was kind of my thinking. He couldn't really tell me why he drinks it, but he said he's been doing it for a while now and likes it
 
Ive tried the GOMAD diet (Gallon Of Milk A Day) but i cant say it made me feel good thats for sure. I always felt bloated and i really struggled to consume meals inbetween drinking milk.

It served its purpose though, i did gain some weight from it.
 
I drank my chocolate protien shake mixed with milk on wed and I felt like puking a couple times, but held it in, thats pretty much like chocolate milk
 
I've read about the GOMAD deal, thought about doing it, but I haven't yet...How long did you run it for?
 
I would never drink that much pasteurized, homoginized swill from the grocery store. You are just asking for problems.
 
In my mid 20 i use to drink a gallon of whole milk a day, lol, I actualy have dozens of posts here on MuscleChemistry about this, and I was in the best shape of my life, lol, I use to LOVE me some MILK!

I think i ran it for about 8 weeks around Jan-Feb time this year, i did feel bloated all day long mind which does get frustrating. I was doing it whilst on cycle and did see good gains, i gained about 18lbs in 2 months.

I work in an office so drinking milk all day is quite easy for me to do and helped make sure i was getting enough calories down me to grow.
 
I love the taste of milk, but think im in the minority,

Thats the only drawback on the GOMAD diet, i think you have to really like the taste of milk in order to keep it going. I couldnt do it with full fat milk but i manage ok using semi skimmed milk.
 
It was only costing me £2 per day and when you look at the macro count its not bad value for money.

In 4 litres you get:

Protein: 132g
Carbs: 200g
Fat: 64g
Cals: 1920

that shits still expensive lol im cheap
