Ok do you guys think you could make your legs grow by leg extension ,leg curls and lunges? high volume sets 12x12?
 
i dont think they will grow well without a big compound movement like hacks, or presses, but maybe the lunges will help with that,
 
I don't think so either, it's better than nothing but there's a lot of muscle to be made on the inside of your legs from squating!
 
Like they all said.. Don't try and get outa squats or some other compound movement . Are you asking cause you can't squat due to health reason or just throwing out a good question?
 
turn those leg ext. into heavy drop sets, and lunges into walking lunges with dumbells and yes I do.
 
I think biggest factor is genetics, but I have to agree on the compound movement thought. My legs will blow up quickly and I do not squat but I do have to do leg press and I do have to work them twice a week in order to get the size I want. My legs respond to twice a week. Maybe cause thats how I trained them for 15 years before I jacked up my back and stopped working legs as much.
 
I agree with nuk nuk here, you can grow, but you've gotta make them as "complicated" as possible. Walking lunges even without weight will yield good results, but the weights will obviously help build some muscle. I saw an article where The Rock does long walking lunges without weight (he's no bodybuilder, but you get the idea)
 
Next up for me is some big changes in my leg training. I swear that they have gotten smaller. Their size DEFINATELY does not show an accurate representation of their strength. I'm thinking I'm going to have to train them only on an off day and be ready to vomit.
 
I truly believe legs are different than any other muscle on your body. they are geared to be worked. They are the biggest and strongest muscles on your body. Therefore I believe you have to work them twice a week to maximize their full growth potential. Tuff to do, just about everybody hates leg day or at lest dreads it. Point in case is Nuk, the guy has transformed his legs to a complete new level, in a short period of time.
 
Legs,,,,, I have tried everything and the ONLY thing that I have found to show the best results are squats and damn I hate doing them bc Im tall and I look aweful doing them. They dont feel natural. Its like trying to bend down and take s hit with no toilet there, just hang in mid air. Uncomfirtable, miserable and ugly. BUT when I say fuck it and do them once each week to the point of complete failure, then I grow like a weed. I have tried 1 sets of leg presses and anything in-between and wish I could replace that horrible squat but I cant.
