Jason Momoa Shares Diet & Training Routines for Staying Swole in 2023

American actor Jason Momoa continues to dominate Hollywood with an impressive physique. In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Momoa revealed some of the go-to foods he consumed on set for Fast X and laid out his 2023 training routine.
In 2018, Momoa reached the pinnacle of his acting career, having starred in the hit action motion picture Aquaman as Arthur Curry. The role required him to maintain a superhero-quality physique, which he made possible with appropriate nutrition and training sessions.
He also played the role of Aquaman in other DC Extended Universe-inspired projects, such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and the Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Last year, Momoa was cast to play the villain in the 10th Fast and Furious film, Fast X.

While Momoa has admitted in the past he doesn’t like attending gyms, that hasn’t stopped him from training. The popular actor credits his physique with an active lifestyle. From rock climbing to mountain biking, the Hawaiian native doesn’t miss an opportunity to stay in shape.

When asked about the gym, Momoa had the following to say while repping dumbbell rows and barbell curls:

“Kettle bells have been really huge in my life. I travel with kettle bells and it helps me with my core, fighting, and doing stunts. Aside from that, bands. I’ll do band work on set, it’s just so simple and easy. I like stuff I can just take with me anywhere you know what I mean. Boxing is always fun and it keeps my cardio up.”
“And then also to keep up with cardio there’s rock climbing, riding bikes, so I just got these gravel bikes, they are fun as hell, mountain bikes, and riding motorcycles isn’t really a workout but mentally it clears my head. Yeah, I like the mountain bike, I like to go downhill fast. I’m not allowed to go downhill anymore because I’m obviously shooting a movie.”

Momoa isn’t the only superhero action star drawing attention for his training and diet. Australian fitness and acting icon Chris Hemsworth routinely updates fans with progress photos and workouts. The last time fans heard from Hemsworth, he showcased his lean physique in the middle of a no-equipment core training session.

Aside from Momoa and Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman is another actor keen on producing a next-level physique. In preparation for his roles in Deadpool 3 and Wolverine, Jackman shared a number of training sessions on his way to transforming his body. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is also celebrated for his diet and training and he recently starred in Marvel’s smash success Black Adam.

The Rock Shares ‘Intense and Controlled’ Chest & Back Workout: ‘Focused and Slow’

The Rock Shares ‘Intense and Controlled’ Chest & Back Workout: ‘Focused and Slow’

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson makes the most of his workouts despite a busy schedule. In his latest gym visit, The Rock shared a brutal training session of 275-pound Smith machine incline bench presses for reps.
As a former professional wrestler for major organizations such as the WWE and WWF, The Rock’s brand and name recognition quickly grew following his transition into acting. With a role in Marvel’s standalone success, Black Adam, and many other ventures, The Rock’s entertainment projects have totaled more than $3 billion in the United States.
The Rock lives by his motto of being the hardest worker in the room. He regularly showcases grueling workouts online and pushes the pace regardless of the time. From brutal chest and upper body training sessions to ‘killer leg day finishers,’ Johnson attacks his schedule with maximum intensity, which he credits for helping him maintain such an impressive physique.

In a recent Instagram post, The Rock demonstrated how he finishes a chest and back training session with Smith machine incline bench presses. He offered tips for avoiding shoulder stress during the movement.

Be mindful as to how far you bring the weight down to mitigate that stress on your shoulders (I had complete shoulder reconstruction surgery – you don’t want that fun pain in your life, so take my advice)Focused, slow & controlled.3 second negatives.Intense and controlled.
Give it a try and have a productive weekend (and fun;) my friends.
~ dj” The Rock posted.

Johnson prefers not to overload the shoulders with weight as he’s undergone shoulder reconstruction surgery. Instead, he utilizes lighter weight and slows down his reps to maximize the pump with time under tension.
In addition to training sessions, The Rock likes to show off massive cheat meals, which he typically consumes on leg days. Some of his more notable meals included burgers from the In-N-Out fast food chain and his signature ‘power-packed’ breakfast consisting of steak, eggs, oatmeal, and five peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

The Rock’s famous cheat meals even got the attention of influencer Brian Johnson, well-known as Liver King. Earlier this month, Liver King showed off a ‘Goddam* overdue’ donuts and pizza cheat meal of his own. Following Liver King’s steroid scandal last year, podcast host Joe Rogan suggested that The Rock now come clean about his alleged use.

Hugh Jackman Shares Sprint Workout for ‘Becoming Wolverine Again’

Hugh Jackman Shares Sprint Workout for ‘Becoming Wolverine Again’

Australian actor Hugh Jackman made a name for himself by donning the adamantium claws of Wolverine on the silver screen. In a recent post made on Instagram, Jackman shared a sprint workout he’s using to get in shape for playing the character another time in the upcoming film Deadpool 3.
Hugh Jackman started his entertainment career in theatre and appearances in national television series. In 2000, Jackman got signed to join the X-Men film franchise. He left a lasting impression with his depiction of the Marvel comic book character Wolverine, which helped elevate his star power and break into the mainstream. The film was a commercial success and earned Jackman the Saturn Award for Best Actor.
For Jackman, who stands a foot taller than the fictional mutant, getting into superhero shape was not an easy feat. He put in countless hours in the training room and followed a strict diet to add a significant amount of muscle mass to his frame. He exhibited a lean and athletic look in the prequel X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009).
The 54-year-old made waves in the fitness community with his incredibly shredded package in The Wolverine (2013). He boasted a ripped midsection with abs and incredible overall vascularity to bring the burly superhero to life on screen. His last appearance happened in the 2017 sequel Logan, following which he decided to bid the role farewell. Eventually, he got convinced to make his comeback in the role by fellow A-lister Ryan Reynolds for the upcoming third installment of the Deadpool film series.

Considering how jacked he got, there was speculation about whether Jackman used steroids. Earlier this year, he declined the allegations and insisted he never got on the juice. Instead, he credited following an old-school routine and eating tons of chicken for helping him pull off the body transformation.
Hugh Jackman showed off his strong arm muscle development in a workout update in preparation for his return a few months ago. Bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger took notice of the update and reacted with a simple emoji of encouragement.
Two months ago, Jackman gave fans a look into his brutal leg workout sessions. He crushed a heavy squat workout before performing leg presses to beef up his lower body for the superhero project. Then, he offered a challenging core workout using planks to build strength in his midsection last month.

As per IMDb, Deadpool 3 is currently in pre-production and expected to release on November 8, 2024.

Ryan Reynolds on Keeping Up with ‘Beast’ Hugh Jackman Training for Deadpool 3: ‘I’m Trying’

Canadian superstar Ryan Reynolds is gearing up to lead the cast in Deadpool 3 alongside Australian actor Hugh Jackman. In a recent interview with ET Canada, Reynolds opened up on his struggles in trying to keep up with Jackman in terms of physicality.
Ryan Reynolds first gained attention for his work in the Canadian teen soap opera Hillside in the early 90s. Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, Reynolds found his passion for acting early as a teenager. Following a string of comedy roles, Reynolds switched gears for the action movie Blade: Trinity (2004). He displayed his versatility with a stronger physique in the project. In 2009, Reynolds got signed to play the role of Wade Wilson/Weapon XI in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Following the film, Reynolds worked hard on developing a standalone Deadpool movie that did not rely on any other portrayal and instead was rooted in the comic book source material. He found immense success with the launch of Deadpool (2016), which crushed many box-office records and convinced the studio to turn the project into a franchise.
Hugh Jackman led the cast for the prequel X-men film and made headlines for his insane build. He continued to build on his physique to don the burly superhero in future installations. In 2013, Jackman left the fitness world stunned with his crazy ripped package in the film The Wolverine. After two further cameos, Jackman decided to step away from the demanding character with a final appearance in Logan (2017).
In 2018, Ryan Reynolds reprised the role of the anti-hero in Deadpool 2. Besides his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Reynolds starred in other films like 6 Underground (2019), Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021), and Red Notice (2021). He enlisted the help of bodybuilder Aaron Reed to play the role of his freakishly jacked alter-ego in Free Guy (2021). The hulking 6’7” mass monster gave fans a sneak peek at the role in Aug. 2021.

Earlier this year, Hugh Jackman opened up about how he got in superhero shape to play Wolverine. He declined ever using steroids to prepare for the role and credited his muscularity to an old-school diet of consuming lots of chicken.
The 54-year-old laid out a couple of fierce leg workout routines he utilized to get ready for Deadpool 3 two months ago. He performed a heavy set of squats before providing a look into his leg press workout. He followed up by showing off his ripped physique while crushing a grueling core workout last month.

Ryan Reynolds opens up on his struggles to keep up with Hugh Jackman for Deadpool 3

In a recent YouTube video, Ryan Reynolds talked about his preparations to get in shape with Hugh Jackman for Deadpool 3.

He’s clearly obsessed with his own body so keeping up with someone who’s that diligent is going to be challenging but yeah it’s been fun. He and I are both really excited. We’ve wanted to do this for a decade so to have this opportunity now is weirdly perfect timing.”

As per IMDb, Deadpool 3 is currently in pre-production and is expected to hit the theaters on November 8, 2024. It will star Matthew Macfadyen, Ryan Reynolds, and Morena Baccarin. Shawn Levy is the director whereas Rob Liefeld, Wendy Molyneux, and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin serve as the writers.
