hey guys.. started my bulk on monday and im constantly feeling bloated/ gassy, its a different feeling from the normal 'always full' feeling when im bulking, i actually feel like i need to go to the toilet all day, no matter how many times i go.. my diet is very high protein, high carb and pretty low fats, im thinking i might need to drop my protein a bit and increase my carbs, ive been tweaking my diet trying to see if any little changes make a difference but i still have the same problem, heres my current diet:

meal 1:
3 whole eggs, 3 egg whites
150g oats
1 scoop protein powder

meal 2:
250-300g beef
100g white rice

meal 3:
400g fish
100g white rice

meal 4:
250-300g chicken breast
100g white rice

meal 5:
same as meal 4

meal 6:
400g fish
200-300g broccoli + green beans

daily macros are roughly:
protein 516g
fat 69g
carbs 400g

(also since this week ive added slin back in so those numbers aren't even including my whey protein post slin, which is another 100g.. that makes my protein intake on training days over 615g which is very high)
looking at my diet now, i can really see that i need to change it, protein is very high and carbs are quite low so are fats.

ill have a look at my diet now and change around a few things, but what are a few tips from you guys with experience to minimize the bloated gassy feeling when your bulking? do you think its the protein causing it? or could it be too much fibre or something else?

thanks for any input guys, looking forward to hearing your opinions.

Well it's only been since Monday correct? Maybe give it more time ur body will adjust for sure

yea it has only been since monday, its just so uncomfortable i train between meal 3 and 4 and i feel like a baloon, leg day killed me this week. im going to bring my protein down a little and bump up my carbs and see if that makes a difference, im also going to start training in the mornings so ill make meal 1 a fair bit bigger so the rest of the day my meals arent as big.

IMO, its all the protein. Your body has a hard time breaking down protein, especially that much

That's why I asked how much he weighed. If he's 275 or so, it's fine, but anything less, I agree 100% that it's too much

hey brotha, eat more fibrous foods with the meals, more broccoli and apples. oat meals is key. your body has to be able to keep things moving down the line bro. plus more fiber means speeding up the metabolism as well. you'll feel gassy, its just part of it. happens to me all the time.

good luck

Good info bro, fiber is a big factor that people leave out
