I've heard this as well. I do it with calves, but they are notorious for recovering quickly. Do you see results yet? Are they always recovered (not sore) when you train them?
I spoke to Don Long (for those that know who he is) years ago and he said he did pull ups for almost 2 years after every single workout to help catch his back up then he said he switched it to incline bench.
I was gona do this with hams as well, i just forget every time.
